Isba - It's a long story...

It all started back in 1880, when Jean-Jacques Getas molded wooden shoes for the army. At this time the factory had five employees and was producing around 3,000 pairs a year.

Many years later, when the snowboot appeared, Isba conceived the French Polar Expedition's Equipment (Paul-Emile Victor's mission). Isba became a significant symbol in Scandanavian countries.

For more than 100 years,
We have been cultivating the extreme.

Searching for new techniques, Isba constantly evolves in integrating performance and reliability. That's why we are involved in such areas as combat sports, alpine hiking or Formula One. It is with the same spirit that we supply the French Polar Expeditions in Antarctica.

Whether are shoes are manufactured in Oslo, Paris, Montreal, or the Adelie Land, it's makes no difference; all of our shoes are made with the same carefulness. We believe that each pair of shoes should be unique.

Aluminum Polimerised Film Concept for the Montana Collection (Outdoor section)

For a best thermic and anti-damp isolation, we integrate an aluminum-polymerised film between upper and lower lining. When used in extreme cold conditions, the performances are maintained, hence Montana's extensive popularity in Norway.

We select the best leathers.

Our leather comes from the best tanneries in France.

The Imperbuck with a finish lightly "nubucked"
has a Scotchguard 3M treatment (waterproof and
stainless) throughout the thickness on the top of the leather.

The Suportlo is a wonderful calf top grain leather,
naturally twice tanned, 2.4 mm thick, with a Scotchguard 3M finish.
